At this time, Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized for those under 18 years old, but Wake County Public Health's appointment system allows for 16- and 17-year-olds to. The NC Medicaid program is changing on July 1, 2021. You may need to enroll in a new health plan by May 14 to keep seeing your Wake Forest Baptist Health doctors. Most NC Medicaid patients* and NC Health Choice patients can sign up for a new plan now. When you sign up, choose a plan and a primary care doctor. If you don’t sign up by May 14, the state will choose a health plan and select a doctor for you.

*Some patients will not need to choose a new health plan because of the type of health services they need. They will stay enrolled in NC Medicaid Direct, which is accepted by Wake Forest Baptist Health.
